Abstract:We designed a feedback structure based on the current-type reference to reduce the output low-frequency noise of the Buck converter. In this study,we analyzed the sources of output noises in the Buck converter, and proposed a novel feedback structure comprising a low-noise current-type reference,a low-noise error amplifier,an off-chip high-precision resistor and a capacitor. This structure is implemented using the 180 nm BCD process technology, and it effectively suppresses the low-frequency noise within the gain-bandwidth(GBW)range of the Buck output noise spectrum, thereby enhancing the converter accuracy and stability. The simulation results indicate that under operating conditions of 12 V input voltage,1 V output voltage, and 100 nF off-chip filtering capacitor, the proposed low-noise feedback structure achieves an equivalent output integrated noise of 2. 41 μVRMS in 10 Hz to 100 kHz frequency domain, exhibiting excellent low-frequency noise performance.
